  • It is possible to travel to Puerto de la Duquesa and back from Malaga airport taking a bus at Malaga bus station; there three departures in the morning and three in the afternoon to travel to your destination, but actually the bus stops in San Luis de Sabinillas belonging to Manilva and it is only a 10 minutes' walk from Puerto de la Duquesa. In turn, travelling there by train is not possible as there is no train station.
  • At the exit of Terminal 3 are available a large number of conventional taxis offering shuttle service to the place you indicate; the cost is considerably higher than public transport.

Along the streets are available a number of shops of all kinds and a sufficient variety of restaurants and bars that invite you to go shopping in the area. Of course on the waterfront of the marina there are more shops and restaurants. The walk is surrounded by white 2 to 5 storey buildings with roof tiles, a distinguished landscape reminiscent of Puerto Banus.

At short distance from the port is located the Duquesa Castle, a fort which was built in the mid-eighteenth century for defensive purposes against the continuous landings and pirate attacks. It is known that before there was a Roman villa and some remains can still be seen near the place. Today the Castle is the seat of Manilva Municipal Archaeological Museum and the Museum of Fencing, having a library and an exhibition hall.
