Both monuments are conveniently located in the center of Málaga, making them easily accessible. You can reach the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro Castle in the following ways:
- Walking: Setting out from the heart of Malaga, taking a leisurely walk to the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro Castle becomes an experience that combines enjoying panoramic views of the city and the sea. However, it’s important to note that if you plan to walk up to Gibralfaro Castle, it’s advisable to be in good physical shape, as the route, while accessible, involves a significant elevation. While it’s possible to do it with a stroller, we do not recommend descending back due to the risk of slipping.
- Public Transport: You can use the local bus system to reach the Alcazaba and the Castle. The nearest bus stop is “Paseo Don Juan Temboury.” Those who arrive on foot and prefer to take the bus either due to fatigue or carrying a stroller can wait for the bus at the exit of Gibralfaro Castle. The last bus departs at 19:20, and its final stop is Avenida de Andalucía.
